Back in January we highlighted Nate Karnes Art Fish Flag Collection in one of our “Things Worth Reading” posts. After looking at them online for a few weeks and deciding which ones I preferred, I purchased a few of the decals last week.

L to R: Cutty, brown, and smallie Fish Flag decals
When they arrived in the mail yesterday I was really pleased with the quality – you can feel the difference in quality when you hold them in your hand compared to other decals you pick up along the way. The photo doesn’t quite do the colors justice, either: they look even better in person than they do online!
Here’s what Nate has to say about the Fish Flag Collection (from his website):
The Fish Flag Collection highlights unique attributes of specific fish and captures them in a simple and artistic rendering of that species. My goal was to use a limited color palette, and to use only lines and geometric shapes to create an image that would be symbolic of a particular fish. My hope is that each flag will be recognizable by other fishermen, and perhaps help non-anglers to see and appreciate the beauty of animals that live under the surface.
Head on over to Nate’s website and pick up a few for yourself!
