March came in like a lion, and isn’t quite going out like a lamb. Maybe “out like a lion cub” is more appropriate? Anyway, it was a fun month at the vice to be tying up some new and old patterns for the boxes. Read on!
Month: March 2018
Friday Five: 3/30/2018
March is coming to a close, and it’s not going out like a lamb. After a month of cold, things have started to warm up over the past few days (“warm” being in the upper 40s and low 50s), but it’s going to get cold again this weekend. To kick off your Friday, here’s our selection for this week: 4 videos and an article. Pour yourself an extra cup of coffee and enjoy!
Friday Five: 3/23/18
Spring officially arrived this week, even though it came with cold temperatures and snow. At least it’s starting to warm up now, and the sun is trying to come out. Grab your favorite morning beverage and enjoy our selection for you in this week’s Friday Five.
Friday Five: 3/16/18
We have a new selection for you this week, so grab your coffee and read on!
Friday Five: 3/9/2017
It’s back to being cold again, but it’s starting to feel slightly more like spring each day! Word on the street is that BWOs have been starting sporadically on Spring Creek, so it would be worth getting out there to check things out at some point.
For now though, grab your cup of coffee and enjoy the selections that we have for you this week.
Friday Five: 3/2/2018
March has come in like a lion, just based on how the wind is blowing outside. The water is high, and if that’s your thing don’t be afraid to get out there! If it’s not, then stay inside, tie some flies, or organize the fly boxes. All of those ideas are covered in the selection that we have for you today. Grab your cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and enjoy!
From the Vice: February 2018
After the long trudge of January, February always seems to move pretty quickly. The deer hair experiments that I had set out to do didn’t quite happen, but I did have some time to sit down at the vice and tie up some experimental patterns as well as necessary ones to fill the box.
