Fishing Report – May 7

This was one of those mornings that don’t happen often.

Fish were actively rising by 10:30am, taking tan caddis and Sulphurs on Spring Creek! There were good numbers of sulphurs coming off (more than caddis). Between the two clients that we had, there were some good fish landed.

If you have a chance, get out sometime this weekend. Try the nymphing game until you see fish working – don’t be afraid to keep adjusting weight until you’re ticking the bottom with your flies.

Patterns: tan X-caddis (size 16), caddis pupa (size 16), sulphur emergers (size 16), Sulphur nymphs (light and dark, sizes 14-16), scuds and cressbugs (size 14-16).
