Every now and then we’ll be posting some articles that have some content worth checking out. These are going to range from tips and tricks to patterns and tactics.\

Classic Pro Tips: How to Set the Hook (The Orvis Fly Fishing Blog, Phil Monahan)

This is one of the things that we talk about with new flyfishers. This article contains a helpful video and some good tips on different ways to set the hook for different species of fish.

Getting Into the Swing of Things (Hatch Magazine, George Daniel)

George Daniel (a fellow central PA angler and guide) writes on incorporating soft hackle flies into your nymphing rig. George is the author of Strip-Set and Dynamic Nymphing and operates the guide service Livin on the Fly.

How to Tie the Sulphur Breadline Emerger (Midcurrent, Tim Flagler)

Sulphurs are still going on here, though we’re probably coming to the end of it in the coming two weeks. Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions does a great job of instructing you how to tie this pattern.
