It’s hard to believe we’re at the last day of July already. Where did the past month go? There has been some good time at the vice in the past month tying some regular patterns to fill an order and getting to do some experimenting with new patterns (new to me and ones I haven’t tied before).
Here are the pictures of the flies, or at least the ones I took pictures of. There are a number more that didn’t get photographed for one reason or another.
- An order of 5 dozen flies for a customer: Lunchtime Caddis, Beadhead Lunchtime Caddis, Fuzzy Midge, Cranefly Larva, X2 Caddis
- Hellgrammites using Eastern Trophies Fly Fishing Hellgrammite bodies.
- Some of Montana’s Hybrid carp flies.
- A size 6 crayfish tail version of Reynold’s Carp Bitter.
- Articulated bunny cray.
- An experiment on a sculpin pattern.
- Some Rubber-Legged Gotchas using the Shrimp/Cray Tail from Flymen Fishing Company
- Barry’s Carp Fly (left) and a variation on Clouser’s Swimming Nymph
- Variations on Cohen’s Carpnado nymph
