We’re posting a bit later than usual today – but grab your cup of coffee and enjoy what we have for you this week!
Top 5 Flies for the Adirondack Mountains (Orvis Fly Fishing)
Heading to the Adirondacks or anywhere in the northeast this year? Check out this list.
The Troutsman Hex (Slide Inn)
Kelly Galloup shows us how to tie his first commercially-tied pattern, called the Troutsman Hex. As always, he goes into good detail behind the pattern. Kelly shows both a spinner and dun version of the pattern, but points out that the spinner is what you would typically fish.
Carpinator (Mad River Outfitters, Frankenfly)
Frankenfly highlights a pattern by Pat Kelly, which imitates a crayfish in a defensive position. There’s some good movement built into this fly and it has a nice “buggy” look to it.
The Knucklehead (Fly Fishing the Ozarks)
Brian Wise shows how to tie his very own pattern, the Knucklehead. He’s also taking orders for this streamers if you want to purchase them (follow the link above).
Nacho Heredero’s La Loma (Fly Fishing the Ozarks)
Okay, two posts from one place this week – but this pattern looks too cool to wait another week to share. Tie a few up for yourself.
